Prejudice

Abortion

Animal Rights

Relationships

Euthanasia

War and Peace

A variety of skills are focused on throughout the programme:

  • Discursive Essays
  • Analysis and Clarification
  • Application and Evaluation
  • Empathy
  • Self-understanding
  • Critical thinking

New topics can be prepared with the students if interest is shown.

The courses are open in nature and ask our students to research, consider, discuss and justify their own standpoint whilst showing an appreciation of other people's views, both religious and non-religious.

The courses align with the Scottish Borders Council Guidelines respecting the views of young people and offer a thought-provoking programme for all.
