Music S1/S2
You will have two music lessons each week. During this time you will develop skills in:
- Playing keyboard, drum kit, guitar and bass guitar
- Listening to musical excerpts and responding to what you hear
- Reading music
Lessons are mainly practical and most time will be spent learning to play a wide variety of music.
If you already play an instrument or want to sing, listen for announcements about the various groups you can join. These all meet during the lunch hour.
If you want to learn to play any other instruments, lessons may be available in school. This school offers tuition on brass, strings, woodwind, guitar and percussion. Places are limited and sometimes teachers’ timetables are full. Ask about lessons very early in the first term.
