Entry Requirements
You would normally be expected to have attained one of the following
- Standard Grade at Credit level (or possibly Grade 3) in Geography or History
- Standard Grade at Credit level (or possibly Grade 3) English
- Intermediate 2 units or course in History or Travel and Tourism
Course Description
The course consists of three units.
Political Issues in the United Kingdom
In this unit you will study the following study themes
- Political Parties and their Policies (Including the Scottish Dimension)
- The Electoral System, Voting and Political Attitudes.
Social Issues in the UK
In this unit you will study the following study themes
- Income and Wealth in the United Kingdom
- Health Care in the United Kingdom.
International Issues
In this unit you will study two study themes
- Ethnic Minorities in the USA
- Global Security

The course is assessed by a combination of internal assessment (end of unit tests and a prelim) by your teacher and
