Mathematics and Numeracy - Our Faculty
The Mathematics and Numeracy faculty obviously includes The Mathematics department, however it is important to realise that it is not only in Maths that pupils learn and use mathematical skills and knowledge. This is particularly significant with the introduction of a Curriculum for Excellence and the move towards departments and faculties working more closely together. While acknowledging the input of other faculties to the teaching of mathematics, and in particular numeracy, it is the case that the Principal Teacher of Mathematics has overall responsibility for the subject as a whole.
