DEPARTMENTAL AIMS
We all live in a society which is constantly moulded and influenced by technological developments. With this in mind the Design & Technology Department aims to:
- Provide the best possible educational experience of design and technology for all students;
- Encourage all students to develop their abilities, in a range of technological activities, to the greatest extent possible;
- Equip students with the skills for life in a technological environment,
- Provide a safe and caring environment where students can derive enjoyment and satisfaction from working with a variety of media;
- Provide equality of opportunity for all students;
- Foster positive and responsible values and attitudes in students;
- Promote education as an active partnership between the students, staff, parents and the wider community.
