Chemistry Higher

Entry Requirements

  • Standard Grade Chemistry at Grade 1 or 2 for KU & PS
  • Int 2 Chemistry at Grade A or B. Any student with a B pass must consult the Curriculum Leader.
  • Reasonable mathematical skills are essential.

Students without these requirements should consult with the Curriculum Leader: Sciences before making this subject choice.

Course Description

The Higher Grade Chemistry course provides a natural extension to Credit Grade or Intermediate 2 level Chemistry. The course highlights ways in which we are influenced by chemical processes and products, and the students are encouraged to form and express opinions and attitudes on the positive and negative effects of the chemical industries on our quality of life.
